Pegasus4d - Spyware Used by Israel to Suppress Free Speech

Pegasus4d is a frontend for multiple platforms that allows users to collect games of different types in one place and launch them from there. It also provides a graphical interface that displays information and images about the games.

A few weeks ago, the New York Times published an article about a powerful spyware tool called Pegasus that is being used by Israel to spy on targets across the globe. The system’s creator, the Israeli firm NSO Group, proudly boasts about its ability to thwart terrorists and other criminals. But what the article makes clear is that Pegasus has far broader applications.

In fact, it’s a secret weapon of the state that has been used to suppress free speech and silencing dissent. In India, for example, the Times report prompted several petitions to the Supreme Court alleging that the Government was using Pegasus to monitor journalists and political activists.

The NSO Group’s software reportedly gives the company access to phone records, email correspondence and social media posts. It can then track the movements of individuals and their physical locations. The software also allegedly has the capacity to listen in on telephone conversations and even record audio and video.

To make Pegasus work, the NSO Group needs a network of “facilities,” which are essentially servers located all over the world that are connected to each other via the internet. These “facilities” are Pegasus4d controlled by the NSO Group and run on Linux operating systems. The company then uses a remote-access software tool, called PDK, to operate and control the Pegasus surveillance platform.

NSO Group has been accused of violating the human rights of its targets and committing other crimes. It is also accused of selling its spyware to foreign governments.

LECO’s GCxGC-TOFMS instrumentation, the Pegasus 4D HT-C, changes the dynamic when it comes to analyzing complex samples. By combining the power of GCxGC with advanced TOFMS detection, the system is able to detect hundreds-to-thousands more components than previously seen using conventional one-dimensional GC. The system’s easy-to-use ChromaTOF software simplifies component identification, providing a significant increase in efficiency and productivity.

Leco’s proprietary Variable Modulation Time (VMT) GCxGC-TOFMS optimisation feature also enhances this performance. By allowing the analyst to specify at the touch of a button the modulation periods for each dimension, the system can avoid the compromises that often occur in traditional GCxGC analysis. The VMT feature is ideal for matrix heavy and/or complex samples where early eluting and more volatile analytes actually require shorter modulation periods than later eluting analytes.

Regardless of the type of sample you’re analysing, you can rely on the Pegasus 4D system and ChromaTOF software to quickly provide you with the best possible result. With its unsurpassed sensitivity, the system can distinguish between thousands of individual components within a single analysis. This unsurpassed separation performance is built on a legacy of dedication and continuous development that has established LECO as the gold standard in GCxGC separation science.
